SUCCESSFUL MACA EVENT - தமிழ் அரங்கம்
Dear Member,
We are pleased to inform you that MACA’s recent Thamizh Arangam was maca’s another successful event !
It was a House Full show. Thanks to all those who came for the event and actively participated.
Dr Raghuraman gave the welcome speech and a brief talk about Thamizh Arangam. MACA was happy to felicitate Prof. Pasupathy for his recent “Lifetime Achievement Award” given by Tamil Info magazine. This award was given for his contribution to Tamil in the field of Research, Arts, Culture, Ancient and modern literature, Musicology & writing books…. Dr. Ananthanarayanan gave a very good introduction to Prof Pasupathy.
Prof. Pasupathy gave a detailed introduction to Kalaimamani Isai Kavi Ramanan. He gave us a wonderful mesmerizing lecture with music. The topic was இலக்கியமும் திரை இசையும். He explained in detail how கவிஞர் கண்ணதாசன், மருதகாசி, பட்டுக்கோட்டை கல்யாணசுந்தரம், வாலிand many more who contributed to Tamil literature.

Our special thanks to all the volunteers, especially for Mr S.Srikanth for capturing the memories, Mr Anand Mani for Videographing the event, Mrs Geetha Srinivasan and Mrs Brinda Sridhar for arranging Catering, Mr Ramesh Raman for arranging the Sound System and Dr Raghuraman for arranging the event.
